Oriental Shorthairs are members of the Siamese family of cats. The breed was created in the 1970s to widen the array of colors and patterns of the pointed Siamese. Like their Siamese cousins, Orientals are outgoing, playful, acrobatic and energetic. They tend to have softer voices than many Siamese. They are accepted in all major cat registries. At this time we are only breeding the solid black and solid blue shorthairs . We prefer the "classic" body type - somewhere between the more solid traditional and the modern "wedgehead"Siamese.
